Are you interested in voicing your opinion and making a difference? Why not join the CEO Girl Advisory Committee, a vibrant group of Girl Scouts from every age level and geographic area of the council. The Committee meets every other month during the school year to provide ideas, guidance and girl-driven recommendations to the CEO and council staff.
The Committee makes sure that our girls’ voices are heard! Members discuss everything about Girl Scouting: What programs should be offered? How do we attract more members? What new ideas might increase awareness of Girl Scouting? How can Girl Scouts increase our impact on the world around us? And so much more! Committee members make recommendations to, and share their ideas with, Ruth Bramson, GSEM’s Chief Executive Officer. Committee members learn to share their Girl Scout story with others, and occasionally, may also be asked their opinion on specific projects. In past years, the Committee members created a patch celebrating their participation, went on field trips, helped create new programs, and volunteered at various programs such as the Franklin Park Zoo Party for the Planet and the Forever Green Festival. They even organized and executed their own cookie kick-off event for the council. Applications are due September 20!
