Last weekend, more than 25 Girl Scouts from the Carver Service Unit got together to help clean up the community. Stephanie Clougherty, a Brownie leader and member of the PTO, put out the call to her fellow Girl Scouts for help. The local elementay school had a bunch of branches and broken limbs littering the playgrounds and playing fields.

Stephanie initially thought she would get a handful of helpers, but was floored to see the amazing turnout! The girls made piles of branches and limbs around the playground for the maintenance people to then be able to easily remove from the area.
“It’s amazing what one girl can do, but even more amazing when they work together,” explained Ann Rizzuto, Girl Scout volunteer.
