Our Girl Scouts are real animal lovers. Two troops recently visited a veterinarian clinic and animal shelters to learn about animals and how they can support their local shelter.
Daisies from Medford Troop 68137 visited Looby Veterinary Clinic in West Medford, to learn about caring for pets as part of the 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals! journey. They were lucky enough to meet a friendly patient.
Junior Girl Scout troop 72678 of Concord, visited the Lowell Humane Society Shelter and were shown around by Crystal Arnott, manager and Girl Scout volunteer and a guinea pig who calls the shelter home. The girls learned how the shelter is ran and what items the shelter is in need of. The trip was part of the girl’s bronze award project.
