S’more to do in the kitchen

With camp registration opening on January 21, we took to the kitchen to re-imagine a campfire favorite.

Traditional Banana Boat:

Take an unpeeled banana and slit it down the middle. Stuff the opening with chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows, wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil and place it in the fire for 3 to 5 minutes. Banana boat is done when chocolate chips are melted.

Cupcake Banana Boats:

Line the desired number of cupcake tins with aluminum foil liners. Slice half a banana into each cup, sprinkle chocolate chips onto the banana slices and top with mini-marshmallows. Bake for at 400°F for 3 to 5 minutes until mini-marshmallows are golden brown.
