Did you catch the Girl Scouts on WCVB NewsCenter 5? Cadette Girl Scout Troop 72814 from Marlborough recorded a video clip for the EyeOpener newscast. The girls and their troop leaders promoted the benefits of selling cookies, donating to Cookies for a Cause and the Cookie Locator. Be sure to check out their “Wake Up Call.”
A troop leader begins: “When you buy Girl Scout Cookies, you’re getting more than just a yummy treat. You’re helping girls learn essential skills for business and life.”
“For a zero calorie option,” another troop leader adds, “you can always donate a box to the soldiers.” She is referring to our “Cookies for a Cause” program, through which customers “donate back” the cookies they purchase, and the council donates on average 30,000 packages of cookies to the military each year.
A Cadette Girl Scout continues: “Go to hergirlscouts.org to find our Cookie Locator.”
“Just type in your zip code—it’s easy!” her sister Girl Scout adds.
As one Girl Scout in the video mentions, cookies are only available for a limited time, so find a booth sale now to support your local troop by purchasing cookies for yourself, your friends and our troops. Thank you for your support.
