Workshop topics included healthy snacking, hydration, media, body image, reading food labels, portion control, self-confidence, sugar and fast food.
Amanda also presented fun ways to be active. She arranged for many fitness instructors to come to the workshops to teach yoga, Zumba, hip hop, POUND Fit, fencing and soccer.
She also created a nutrition and fitness manual containing lesson plans, discussion points and activities. Through organizing this program, Amanda learned perseverance and problem-solving strategies.
