Our amazing volunteers make Girl Scouting possible for our 35,000 girl members. From service unit coordinators to troop leaders and cookie managers, the way our 15,000 adult volunteers support girls across our council is inspiring. We are pleased to provide training and professional development to help our volunteers help girls transform into the leaders of tomorrow.
There are a few upcoming training events that will help us all to become even better leaders.
Sunday, September 18
Service Unit team members and Troop Volunteer are invited to join us for a Core Learning Day in Dedham!
All current and incoming service unit team members and troop pathway orientation providers will receive position training unique to their role, annual GSEM updates, and an introduction to the new Volunteer Toolkit at the Service Unit CORE Learning Day. Register today for free; brunch is included!
At the same time, troop volunteers can complete the Core Learning Plan for Troop Volunteers by registering individually for Troop Pathway Orientation and Daisy, Brownie or Junior Essentials for free. MEDIC First Aid/CPR training is offered for a fee, and financial assistance is available.
Sunday, November 6
Join us at the 2016 GSEM Volunteer Conference, open to all volunteers including service unit team members, new and experienced troop volunteers, council facilitators, regional delegates and adult Girl Scout members. Required trainings, workshops, enrichments, vendor tables, networking and lunch are all included. Leave energized with new ideas, friendships and tips and tools that will make the 2016-17 troop year the best one yet!
While the adults are at the Conference, Daisies, Brownies and Juniors can spend the day with other Girl Scouts at the Fun Spot! Girls will have a blast playing sports and games, making crafts, participating in STEM activities and more!
