Congratulations and good luck to the class of 2017 as they transition to life as adult Girl Scouts! Whatever their postgraduate plans may be, we are so proud of all that they have accomplished, both at school and through Girl Scouting, and we can’t wait to see what they do in the future.
Here’s what some of our Girl Scouts have to say about their future plans:

Sinclaire V. presenting her Gold Award project at the 2017 Gold Award Ceremony.
“I will take a gap year. I hope to work at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland to combine my love of scouting and the outdoors with my love of understanding how people and society interact. I want my future career to be a Psychologist of Gender and Sexuality, so I can both educate and aid people who face the consequences of internalized stigma within society.” – Sinclaire V.
“I plan on majoring in Marine Biology, because climate change is a real danger to our planet, and I want to continue to help the world.” – Charlotte H.
“As of now, I am undecided in my focus, but will be a part of the Pre-Med track. I also plan to minor in Women and Gender Studies, with the hope of continuing my community service that specifically aids girls and women.” – Meg D.

Mary E. receiving her GSEMA scholarship at the 2017 Annual Meeting.
“In college I am planning to major in Psychology and Neuroscience, and would love to work with children in my future professional life.” – Emma A.
“I am planning to be a Computer Science major with minors in Entrepreneurship and Management and Applied Math. One of the reasons that I wanted to address the underrepresentation of women in STEM with my Gold Award Project is because it is something that I had personal experience with.” – Cindy G.
“I am a geology major and intend to continue research on the environmental impacts of human life on our earth.” – Makayla S.
“Next year I will be pursuing a degree in political science. I’m excited to broaden my opportunities for service while away at college! After college, my dream is to travel the world helping underserved communities through the Peace Corps.” – Katherine H.
