Jaylan, a Girl Scout Ambassador from Tyngsborough, built a community garden containing four beds for vegetables, herbs and other plants at a local senior center. In addition, Jaylan created a cookbook with recipes that can be made with the vegetables and herbs grown in the garden.
The garden helps bring local, healthy and sustainable food to the center and provides an opportunity for seniors to work with other members of the community.
This project has helped Jaylan develop her skills around organizing volunteers, communicating with others and managing both time and resources.
We are so proud of Jaylan for providing the community with a resource that is fun and sustainable!
